Join Animal Welfare, its Mobile Lucky Paws Adoption Van, Watermelon Mountain Ranch and other rescue groups around New Mexico as they adopt puppies, kittens, dogs and cats at the PetSmart/Coors Bypass location. The adoptathon will also have a second location, at the PetSmart, 350 Eubank Blvd NE in Albuquerque (Eubank just south of I-40). Traditionally, one of New Mexico's largest adoption events. Don't forget low fees to adopt puppies, dogs, kittens and cats! Give the gift of family to a loving, deserving pet this holiday!
Fees for Cats: $40 for kittens under 6 mos. of age, $30 for kittens & cats older than 6 mos to 3 yrs. of age, $20 for Cats over 3 yrs old.
Fees for Dogs: $60 for puppies under 6 mos. of age, $50 for puppies & dogs older than 6 mos to 3 yrs. of age, $40 for dogs over 3 yrs old.

Help Animal Humane reach their goal of finding homes for 450 pets. During this two week period each pet comes with their own gift card redeemable for discounts on adoption fees.

This free service is available to all pet owners who are experiencing behavior problems with their dogs and cats. Animal Humane's trained behavior coaches are available to answer questions and provide tips on everything from housetraining to living with multiple animals in one home.

Reverend Gary Kowalski (interim minister at the Universalist Unitarian Congregation in Santa Fe) will be giving a talk at Kindred Spirits on 'Animals and Spirituality' early in 2011. This will be a great way to begin the New Year in celebration and awareness of our truly special relationship to companion animals, as well as to all the animals we are blessed to encounter in our lives. Reverend Kowalski is a true animal lover. He is the author of a number of wonderful books including The Souls of Animals, and Goodbye, Friend: Healing Wisdom for Anyone Who Has Ever Lost A Pet.
