ALBUQUERQUE

TICA FELINE FIESTA CAT SHOW
Saturday & Sunday,
May 9-10, 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
School Arts Building, New Mexico Fairgrounds - Expo New Mexico, 300 San Pedro NE, Albuquerque. Cost: $4 - Adults, $3 - Seniors, $1 - Children Get a discount coupon for $1.00 off the price of admission by going to www.enchantedcatclub.com and clicking on "Get a coupon." Bring the coupon with you to receive the discount.

Fourth annual Feline Fiesta Cat Show sponsored by Albuquerque's Enchanted Cat Club. All proceeds from the show benefit Albuquerque's rescue cats and kittens. 16 judging rings filled with spectacular purebred, feline beauties who strutt their stuff for the judges. Lovable rescue cats ready for adoption by the Albuquerque Cat Action Team (A.C.A.T.) and New Mexico Animal Friends (NMAF). Smiley's Store will be stocked with beds, placemats, toys and treats for you cat friends. Run by Kennel Kompadres all sales benefit the Albuquerque Animal Care Centers. Shop 'til you drop at the Kitty Mall. Cat toys, scratching posts and supplies - everything you need for your purr-fect cat will be featured during the shows. Of course we wouldn't forget the cat lovers. There will be plenty of cat-themed jewelry and other items for two-legged, cool cats, too!

ALBUQUERQUE CAT ACTION TEAM (A.C.A.T.) & CLIFF'S AMUSEMENT PARK
April 24-25 and May 30-31
A.C.A.T. has partnered with Cliff's to give you some discounted fun! Use the coupon provided online at www.AlbCat.com or at A.C.A.T. adoption events to get a discounted ride pass and help the kitties. Make copies of the coupon for your friends, family, neighbors and everyone you know. A.C.A.T. adoption events are at PetsMart on the corner of Academy and Wyoming on Friday - 4:00 -8:00 p.m., Saturday - 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and Sunday - 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

A.C.A.T. Annual Raffle
The Grand Prize is 2 round-trip tickets from Southwest Airlines anywhere they fly (valued at $800). Other prizes also available. Tickets are $2.00 or 6 for $10.00. The tickets are available at www.AlbCat.com or at A.C.A.T. adoption events. The drawing will be held August 12.

COINS FOR CATS
The goal is to collect one million coins from January 1, 2009 - January 1, 2010.
Your coins will help with medical needs, spaying/neutering, rescuing abused/abandoned cats, fostering, and then finding the right home for those rescued kitties. Drop your coins off at A.C.A.T. adoption events during the year. You will receive a tax-deductible donation receipt if you ask.

SANTA FE

PUPPY PALOOZA
Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society, 100 Caja Del Rio Rd., Santa Fe
April 4-5
This will be the largest adoption event of the season. The event will feature adoptable puppies as well as older dogs, kittens and cats. The focus will be on total care of our four-legged family members including information about obedience classes, proper nutrition, grooming, microchipping and more. There will be staff and volunteers available to share information on the Pet Outreach program, humane education, volunteering for SFAS&HS and the membership program. PAWS FOR A CAUSE
May 9
Benefiting Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society and St. Vincent Hospital Foundation. The Paws for a Cause Community Dog Walk and Run is a great family event for people of all fitness levels. The walk will begin at Alto Park and follow the Santa Fe Riverwalk to downtown and loop around the Plaza before heading back to Alto Park. New this year are a 4K run and a 1K run for kids. Times TBD, please check the website www.sfhumanesociety.org for up to date information.

Don't miss the Pet Piazza at Alto Park following the race. Dog Demo's, Dog Contests, "Ask a Vet," sponsor and vendor booths, healthy snacks and beverages for humans and four-legged family members.

KINDRED SPIRITS ANIMAL SANCTUARY
Annual Spring Open House
May 9-10, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Come celebrate the collective birthday party for all our seniors. Bring your friends and family for Mother's Day. There will be talks each day at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. by our animal health care providers. Salvador will greet you at the gate.
