LOW-COST SHOT CLINICS
Monthly clinics are held at various senior centers. $5.00 cost for each shot. Shots include annual cat and dog boosters, rabies vaccine, kennel cough vaccine, plus cost of microchip and City license. If you are qualified low income or over 65 years of age the microchipping is free and the license is free. All cats must be brought in carriers!

TWO GREAT APES PAINTING
May 9, 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Cloud Cliff Bakery and Art Space, Project Sweet Dreams, teaches children humane ethics and compassionate action through the study of Great Apes, and The Oz School, an after school art program that supports the humane treatment of animals through children’s art, join forces in a fundraiser for Save the Chimps. The fundraiser sponsors moving 152 chimps in Alamogordo to permanent sanctuary in Florida.

MOTORING FOR MUTTS CAR SHOW AND CRITTER RUN

Registration for the Critter Run starts at the Harley Davidson Store in Santa Fe at 10:00 a.m. and motorcyclists will start their ride at 11:00 a.m. The car show will begin at 1:00 p.m. on the shelter grounds. April 19-20, Cat Care Network of Colorado and New Mexico announces the second Low-Cost, Spay-Neuter-Shots Mobile Clinic, Cimarron Elementary School Gym, downtown Cimarron, just off Highway 64, in Colfax County. To make an appointment, volunteer at the clinic, or make a donation, call 575-445-8756. The mobile clinic is provided by the Santa Fe Animal Shelter and Humane Society. If funding permits, a third clinic is scheduled for July 2008, and a fourth for October 2008.
