These are some of the low-cost spay/neuter programs currently operating in New Mexico. Please check with your local veterinarians to see whether they provide any low-cost spay/neuter services. Also check with your local humane society or animal control for any programs that might be available in your area. New Mexico Animal Friends’ Robbie’s Chica Spay/Neuter Program

No residency restriction. Anyone meeting the WIC income guidelines or receiving some form of government assistance may qualify. Proof of income or government benefits is required. A minimal co-payment is required and the client is responsible for shots. A waiver of co-pay may be approved if the client is unemployed or has exceptional circumstances. Clients are assigned to one of several cooperating veterinary clinics in Albuquerque or the East Mountains. Clients are limited to three pets.
